A narrower mat for restricted equipment access

The 3×8 size is built around the part of the route that often causes trouble: the narrow gate, the side yard between structures, or the landscaped entrance that a full-width panel cannot clear. Each mat covers 24 square feet and is easier for a crew to carry, stage and reposition than the wider 4×8 size.

Lay the panels end to end to define a narrow travel lane, or use them at restricted transitions before the route opens into a wider area. If the equipment needs extra coverage or more room to turn, move to the 4×8 ground protection mat or plan a mixed-size order.

Plan around the restriction—not the open lawn

Start at the narrowest gate, passage or landscaped entrance. Confirm that the mat width and the equipment itself can clear the opening, then measure the full travel route. Both available mat sizes are eight feet long, so a straight one-mat-wide 100-foot route begins at 13 mats after rounding up.
